Laura V. Trieschmann

Ms. Trieschmann directs the survey of historic properties, focusing on the identification, evaluation, documentation, and nomination of historic resources and properties. She has extensive knowledge of 18th, 19th, and 20th century buildings, with a particular emphasis on interior architectural features and plans. As a project director, she is responsible for the research and preparation of nomination forms for local landmarks and historic districts, as well as nominations to the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmarks. Her work requires the development of research and survey designs; reconnaissance studies and intensive surveys; and the preparation of evaluation criteria and implementation of evaluation programs. Her duties also include the study and preparation of historic contexts related to the development of architectural styles and neighborhoods, streetcar-related resources and routes, public libraries, military housing and battlefields, African American properties, and apartment buildings and complexes.

Ms. Trieschmann holds a Master of Science in historic preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in historic preservation and interior design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
