Location: Mount Rainier, MD
Intent: EHT Traceries was retained to serve as the lead historic preservation consultant for the development of an Architectural Conservation Overlay Zone and Design Guidelines for the Mount Rainier Historic District. Traceries completed a full update to the original architectural survey, intensively documenting approximately 1,100 properties in the city. Working with the City of Mount Rainier, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and an architect and planning team, Traceries is developing a set of Design Guidelines to ensure that alterations and new development are compatible with the character of this historic community.
