Location: Washington, D.C.
Intent: To support a cooperative mitigation effort between the National Park Service and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, EHT Traceries prepared a Cultural Landscape Report for the Potomac Waterfront Section of the Parkway, extending between Virginia and Constitution Avenues, NW. This portion of the Parkway runs adjacent to and beneath the Kennedy Center, constructed between 1964 and 1971, which is currently undergoing an expansion project. In collaboration with Stantec landscape architects and transportation planners, Traceries documented the condition, integrity, and significance of the parkway. The report also provided recommendations for the treatment and stewardship of this resource.
