Location: New Orleans, LA
Intent: EHT Traceries was retained to research, write, and present a National Historic Landmark Nomination for the St. Charles Streetcar Line. Traceries conducted extensive archival and contextual research to develop an expanded historic context and narrative for the resource. Traceries also conducted onsite survey to document the line’s current condition and contributing resources, which include the route, the “neutral ground” median on which the line operates, the tracks, the streetcars, two buildings, and the associated electrical utility equipment. The St. Charles Line was designated a National Historic Landmark in May 2014.
