Thurgood Marshall – Public School 103


Location: Baltimore, MD

Content:  Working under the direction of the City of Baltimore Mayor’s Commission on former P.S. 103 and the staff of the Baltimore National Heritage Area, Traceries developed an inventory of extant properties associated with the life and work of Thurgood Marshall, and an inventory of sites within Baltimore City associated with the people and important events of the Civil Rights Movement. Traceries also conducted a study of National Historic Landmarks associated with the Civil Rights Movement of the twentieth century to help inform the Commission and BNHA as to the best approach to frame the argument for a possible designation of P.S. 103 as a National Historic Landmark.
